Hi guys in process of doing a full install but doing it properly in my STI 2016. Going to be putting in Rockfor Fosgate 6.5" componants with tweeters. Thinking of using all new speaker wires as peobably gonna be better than the stock speaker cables but is it really hard to feed cables through the rubber grommits from car to doors? If the tweeters go in the door then I'm going to need to feed extra wites in... Any suggestions greatly appreciated...
Wires will go through the rubber doors sleeves with some perseverance in the Newage models. Can't comment on the 2016. No reason why not if it's just a sleeve and not a connector.
Yeh haven't actually taken them off as yet as i think it's rained literally every single day! Just wanted to get a heads up from anyone might have done it
Tweeters are on the dash under the little grills each corner. I upgraded the speakers with the kicker upgrade from Subaru but you an fit aftermarket ones in there, just need to re-use the bracket that they are fitted to.

You know you also have a woofer under the rear parcel shelf along with it's power amplifier................
Yeh saw these and taken them out and did cross my mind to put the Rockford Fosgate tweeters in there, just thinking where to put the crossover boxes, maybe be under where the glove box goes and feed the cables up through somehow
Hi Don, I didn't look at the manual for this bit. I looked a couple of YouTube vids but didn't realise there was a sub and powered amp there! I have replaced the stereo with a Kenwood head unit with all the proper connect2 adapters, I wonder how it's connected then? a separate wire from the stock stereo?

Looks like it may only be fitted with OEM Sat Nav unit
Yeh your right, i didn't get either also. Just looking at amp racks and where to position my amp. It's fairly large and heavy good old 4 channel Rockford Fosgate T600-4, determined to keep this boot space!
Under the front seats have decent space and earthing points. Also very quick to remove the seats. I have a powered under seat sub under the drivers with plenty of room if that helps?
I did think of that and looked at many installs but was worried people may kick it but to be fair made of metal! How do u secure it down though? Screw in to the floor? I've seen some videos of removing the seats cos there's cables attached to isn't there, i got the manual so may look more into this
There are 2 mounting points connected to chassis under each seat which is very handy. I used them for my sub. Just need a bracket made. The seats have connectors but you don't need to disconnect them just unbolt the seat and leaning it back gives you more than enough room to work with.
That's awesome, I'll have a look laters as really did wanna stay away from the boot! And with the 2016 it's not a high for space as the bugeye so kinda restricted there too :-/ then I'll work out where to put 4 crossovers. Used to put them in the door cards but not great with amount of water gets into the doors tbh
Ok so today i did put the amp under the seats, saw a YouTube vid and they said about using silicone on the car metal with a wood base (false floor) and mount the amp onto that! It'll be ace when finished. Thinking might put a set of the crossovers under the drivers seat next on a wood base too. Really easy like you said about lifting the seat out the way. Shame can't fit all 4 crossovers under the but nevermind, oh and the rubber grommets are really easy to unplug and fed wires through, no electrical block in the grommet either :-)
