STi V7 Speakers
#1
Hi,
Just been to my local ICE shop and they reckon that the standard speakers aren't that bad. They recommend either fitting an amp or changing the head unit itself as its only 10W.
I went in to but some Infinity 505cs' so I guess they lost a sale!
Anybody care to comment?

Me also, what speaker has everyone else put in there Sti Uk's?. I really want to just buy some speakers and then put them in, rather than taking the door panels off and measuring them first.
Any advise would be great!!
Gareth.

According to infinity's home page, direct replacement size is 130mm, front and back. I have a pair of these I was going to use in the rear doors, i'll try them in the front...

i've got a type UK, i changed my original speakers for Blaupunkt
XL 217.1 120W component speakers - passive crossover front 165mm
CL 213.1 60W 130mm rear
both are coaxial type, the fronts have an additional tweeter, you will need to recover the mounting bracket from the original tweeter
Massive increase in quality, and they are a straight swap
