More boost=greater quantity of air=leaner burn without extra fuel

That all depends on if the map at the load points in question is set to give the correct fuelling and ignition. Until its checked out professionally you won't know. Well, if it does run lean you WILL know.

the reason i asked is i had car on rolling road and was running abit rich. 10. afr at WOT. So just though maybe increasing boost by say 2 psi may lean it out a little.

Probably been mapped rich, mine is as rich as hell but its meant to be that way im 450bhp id say leave it alone as richer is better than lean unless you like holes in your pistons

yes i have heard that too lean is very bad! and is better to run slightly rich as its safer. was just thinking if i run it a little leaner i may get a little more power, and also avoid getting any borewash. but people have said it should be fine at 10.afr. so may just leave it?

Thats a dangerous game to play looking for power by running leaner, petrol cools the piston crowns id leave it be mate, honestly richer is safe, would not worry about bore wash on wot, regular oil changes with good quality oil will keep it from borewashing, mine has been mapped to run very rich at wot but off boost and driving normal its fine, id leave it mate or get it to a mapper to look at it and re map if needed for peace of mind. turning the boost up will end in tears

They are mapped really rich, I doubt 2psi would hurt it. But it's up to you!

With regard to AFR, mine is mapped to run 11.1 at full boost.
