Dyno graph for td04 Hybrid vs VF35 - Advice
Hi All,
I recently had my 2003 WRX with TD04 hybrid mapped. Now, I'm happy with the mid and low down power/results. But, cant help but feel I would like a bit more power and torque up top
My question is, would a VF35, equal length headers and AVCS heads give me the same mid and low power as with what I have, but make things better up top?
Here is the dyno graph:
List of mods:
STI TMIC and injectors
ported headers
Harvey up pipe
open mouth downpipe and 3" exhaust
Green panel filter
I'd really like to see a dyno graph for anyone who has a VF35, on a WRX with headers or AVCS heads and made 300+BHP/Torque
I've done a search, and found lots or arguments about power made on VF35's but not many dyno graphs, with some dyno graphs that I did find with less power and torque than my TD04.
As always, cheers to anyone who has any feed back, info!
While I'm at it! Wishing all Scoobynetters a Happy new year and 2014

I'm also wondering if a VF37 would have the same low and mid power, but better up top?
I used to have a VF37 set up, but with a FMIC and the power came very smoothly, but really started at 3,500 revs. I'm wondering if a TMIC will bring that down so that it is more comparable with my TD04 hybrid set up?

hey mate
heres my graph-353.9bhp 365+ ftLbs
my spec is
2003 sti engine but avcs is not connected up
vf35 turbo
sti top mount with under-tray
rcm 340 pump
rcm induction kit
rcm headers with venturi up-pipe fully heat-wrapped with magma wrap
650cc flow matched injectors
standard oem dumpvalve/fuel reg
ngkpfr7b plugs
3" japspeed de-cat downpipe fully magma wrapped
3" de-cat de-resonated center section
after burner raptor exhaust
sti inlet manifold-tgv delete
mapped on v-power @ rcm by duncan graham
coupled with the sti version 6 box the car is like a missile off the mark and pulls really well altho being a heavy newage + a heavy driver it needs more hence im aiming for 450bhp
i went from 265bhp to 353.9bhp and the difference is like night and day,yes the td04 spools early but it rapidly loses mid-range grunt

Hi Matt, Happy New year mate!
I did see your graph when I did a search, it was one of the only ones that I found that came close to answering my Q.
Did Duncan tell you how much earlier he thinks boost will come in once your AVCS heads are working?

I would have expected a bit more from the TD04 Hybrid than that..SHould be around 320/320 should it not?
Its an old graph but was on a MY02 WRX with prodrive sports cat + decat, VF35, Sti TMIC + pinks + HKS Panel Filter.... Non AVCS, I did get AVCS in later but dont have any graphs for that as i...Err....crashed it

Cheers to everyone for sharing your graphs.
I found out exactly what I wanted to know.
This is exactly the reason I love (more like addicted to!) Scoobynet. Everyone sharing their experiences and knowledge!
Cheers again all.
