Why is launch control good and anti lag isn't? Lol.

Launch control is harder on everything, anti lag can just be mapped for pops and bangs for "show"

And they effectively are the same thing just used in a slightly different way

You need a simtek or alkatek etc ecu with the capability for this with a remap etc to set it all up

hi guys I know its the map but the ecu has to be capable of this I don't want to knacker my car up but they sound awesome with anti lag on I only use maybe twice a month so I don't do many miles whats the going price for ecu capable of this ? I need to consider price of the remap also to suit my car ?

Hi there

What car you have?

Do you have classic or New age?

If you have Classic you will need aftermarket ECU like is SimTek,AlcaTek,Syvecs and other ECU

If you have New age then you have simple option of the running CarBerry ROM which allow you to have ALS,LC etc

But still i would go with aftermarket ECU like is Syvecs, this ECU is without the doubts best on the market

Hi Neil

What turbo you are running?

What injectors you are running?

Is yours 2.5L running forged pistons and rods?

Hi Neil

If you are running still TD05H(16G) then yours BHP is spotless, injectors holding you back and if you will go with bigger turbo like is SC42,MDX321T or MDX555 you will need to run bigger injectors like 740cc,you can send yours injectors to Lateral Performancefor reflowing, but still I would speak with Zen Performance about the their injectors options, will cost you more, but still they're better

You are running TMIC(Top Mount Intercooler) or FMIC(Front Mount Intercooler)?

About the ECU options,Syvecs or AlcaTek,speak with Simon@JGM,Paul@Zen Performance and MartynJ@Engine Tuner

Not sure how much yours engine will take, but I would say 400bhp is possible to run,I know few guys running 2.5L engines with similar spec at 400bhp without the problem

As above I would speak like with above mentioned dealers/mappers and plus I would speak with the ScoobyClinic about the ECU options

Hi Neil

At first speak with above mentioned tuners/mappers which should help you without the emptying yours bank account

Yours 440cc injectors will don't take you above 350bhp,maybe little bit more with FPR,but still I would go with bigger injectors if you want more power

You will need aftermarket ECU like I've said SimTek/AlcaTek or Syvecs if you want ALS(Anti Lag,Launch Control)

Where are you located ?
