Default Probelm: Alloy/disc getting very hot and squeeling?

Hi,
I have a 97 type r and the rear passenger side alloy and disc is getting very hot and there's a squeel coming in and out when i'm driving. the part of the disc right behind the alloy will sizzle when you spit on it and the other side is just normal warm after about 10mins normal driving.

I out in new brake pads about a month ago in the back and didnt think the calipers seemed too bad and did look like they were sticking.

the squeeling stops when i press the brakes and comes stright back when i lift of the brake which would seem to point towards the brakes but brakes are good and i cant find a problem with them.

could this be a wheel bearing or a sticking caliper? its easy to turn the wheel when i have it up on the lift so i dont think its the caliper....

any help be appreciated thanks...

I was onto Ian there 99£ for full kit with SST pistons or £40 for the seals without pistons.

I’ll have a better idea of what I need when I strip the caliper tonight I’ll check the bearing aswell make sure its ok…
If I could get away with polishing the piston and fitting new seals id be happy out…

when you take the caliper off see how easy the pistons push in, another thing that can happen is the pads are very worn and the pistons have to come out too much this also causes them to stick.

If you put in new pads a month ago I'd have a look to see if there is any rust/lip on the disc first. I did the same thing and my brakes were red hot. I then took a wire brush attachement on a drill and rubbed away all the rust. Hey presto, no hot brakes. It would be worth looking at this first before you go down the caliper route.

You got it in one mark, I tool off the disc and caliper last night and while the outside of the disc was good the inside wasn’t and have two lips on the edges which was causing the pad to rub and the friction was causing all the heat.
Got most of it off with emry paper and brough her for a good spin and no more hot alloys!

I’ll be taking a skim off the inside of both disc’s this weekend just to clean them up…..thanks for the help guys.
