Default Reverse Inlet on v1 advise

I've just purchased a reverse inlet for my v1 tb it and welded on other side to save problems with icv.

What I'm after is to know apart from alternator relocating kit is there anything else needed?

Which belt can I use etc

Cheers

There isn't a straight answer.

You've got to make the intercooler pipe, and trial different size belts.

once you've mounted your alternator simply run a piece of string around the pulleys. Measure the length required in millimetres eg 952mm equates to 5pk 952 fan belt. There will be leeway either side of the measurement for adjustment.

as above then just take size to yor local motor factrs and get belt nearest to size you will need some form of adjustment on the alternator bracket to tension the belt. Hence why the carl davey bracket is excellent if you dont want to make your own.

In terms of hoses it all depends on how your intercooler pipework runs what hoses you need. The best way to do it is mount the manifold and fuel rails and then see where you want all the pipwork to run and that will give you an idea of what you need. The best set up is to have the pipework custom made with the minimum number of silicon joins.

You may also want to look at going to a newage power steering pump with remote resevoir.

Some info in my project thread that may help, starts around page 2 but prob more info inother later bits as the car evolved.
