when filling up with petrol it takes ages ( have to go very slow or it clicks )

What causes the above I'm guess its bad or blocked breather pipe? Ne one had this and how did u solve it

I had this n my wife's bloody celica drove me NUTS dunno why though never thought to check hated that car lol

It's only ever like that for me at one garage, I tend not to use them for that reason.

Turn the nozzle to the side
It sometimes happens to me when I ram it in straight

As above, try moving your nozzle about, you might get a different response.

Had this before on my old WRX but only at a certain Shell garage. Turned the nozzle to the left a bit and it was fine

having previously owned this car i can undestand your frustration
there is a way of doing it with the nozzle slightly pulled out and delicate trigger finger but i never established what problem was either and never bothered me

30-45 degree angle the handle towards the back of the car and don't ram it to the hilt!

I've had this several times at the local Shell. And no matter how much I jiggle the nozzle and fiddle about it either keeps clicking or goes really slowly. I always have the feeling that it's not giving me enough petrol for my money but I think that's me being paranoid.

Only one particular pump nozzle does this to my car at a Shell station. The rest of the nozzles at the same station, no problem. Now I just aviod that particular nozzle.
