Same as Gaz, unless you have boost gauge, and no its not going to lean out.

As above 3 Bar, I have one on mine, dont go to far with it, but if youre system is standard then it will boost cut at just over 16 PSI anyway.

What year is it?

I'd recommend a remap if the ECU is ok to remap.

MBC are ok, but whether can change the way they act. Colder whether is the best way to set up.

What you wanting to gain from the MBC?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engine_knocking

This can kill youre engine in one outing ,

AFR air fuel ratio, essential not too much or too little, again can kill an engine

this is why you shouldn't get a manual boost controller. crude way to get more bang for your buck. take your car to someone who knows what they are doing. save you an awful lot of tears and money.

i think thats what mine is doing, i have a 01 bugeye............ i put a MBC on along with a boost gauge and everything has been going fine(not really turned it up too much) then the other day i decided to turn it up and give it a blast and in 3rd gear at about 17-18psi the boost just cut till it dropped and then went back to normal, oh and it threw up a engine check light just for good measure.
i connected my laptop when i got home and there wasnt any fault codes coming up so just reset the ecu.

So this weekend its coming off and ill just connect the original connections back up.

its a good job it cut the boost cos i think i might have done some real damage
