Water in boot ??
Guys 2005 blobeye wrx with the larger sti spoiler fitted, noticed that the carpet in the boot on the left hand side is slightly wet, thought it was possibly just the water running off when the bootlid when it was opened opened but appears not. the area where the extra bolts have been fitted seem dry so where else could it be comming in. its wet on the carpet near the litle door that holds the jack etc ??

Thats what I am saying mate the mounting bolts are dry will check next time its raining as could have dried up just leaving the carpet itself wet ?? not near the lights themselves.
if bolts is it just a case off extra silicone around this area ??

tape some paper to bolts then if paper gets wet u know its spoiler bolts the paper wont dry in time for u not to notice
If it is bolts remove spoiler clean it all cover the holes with silcone then re drill for bolts then silicone back up ..

Several things.... There could be a leaking/perished boot seal, the lights can let water in, but so can the air vent in the lower left of the boot ... Mine did and soaked everything

I used to have this problem and never really got to the route cause of the problem.
Believe my boot (left hand side) was getting wet possibly by water pouring over the boot seal due to boot not pressing hard enough onto seal or that it would pour in as soon as I opened the boot or that it would go inbetween the boot seal and the metal.
Is your car parked on a slope?
