Default lamco gauges

hi all i have 3 lamco gauges volts/boost/temp my question is where can i get the temp from the back of the clocks or from the ecu. thanks.

Hi all, right the dash is coming off tonight to fit a new matrix, as above do i need to wire to the clocks or the ecu while i got the dash off? thanks

i think you will need a sender that will be fitted into the block. is it oil/water temp?

Whats the temp range of the gauge?

Is it -20C to 50C? If so I believe its an intake temp gauge. I have one and i'm buggered if I know what sensor it uses. I've tried different thermistors without success.

Yeah, I can't make out if it's an intake temp gauge, or an ambient air temp gauge.

If it's the former, then Subaru are deluded! Intake temps - on phase 1 cars' little slantly TMIC at least - can get into the frikkin' 70s!!!, let alone the 50s!

Isn't it an outside air temperature gauge? About as useful as a voltmeter

That's what I always assumed it to be, yeah. Esp. given the scale.

Bloody inaccurate though (as you elude to).

the lamcos in mine were volt, boost, and outside temperature the temp sender was down behind the osf indicator.
