Default Engine Oil Grade???

Anyone know what grade engine oil to use on a tuned wrx sti 1996. i hear so many different opinions

10w-40 or 10w-50 seems to be general recommendation.

10w40 is a safe bet. a happy medium.

10w-40 is the best choice if the car just gets road use, 10w-50 if it's thrashed/tracked. Go for a full synthetic.
