Silkolene Pro S 10w/50

Try a search on Mobil, Motul or Silkolene and sit back for a few hours, there are many many different opinions about the best oil

Mobil 1 Motorsport 15W/50 (and Mobil 1 SHC 75W/90 in the gearbox). As has been said, the top full synths all do the job well, so no matter which you choose you'll be happy.

The only thing that can be added is that Prodrive recommend either Motul 300V 15/50 or Mobil 1 15/50 in the WR Cars, which says a lot.

Castrol RS 10W60 for me.

Had a recent thread going on in Drivetrain about this oil with some good input from others (on other oils too) -

In my case (MY00 and WRX03) when I changed from other brands of oil to Motul V300 I had noisy tappets the first few minutes of warming the car!
I know all of you suggest V300 but I'll go back to Castrol RS 10W/60 that is also one of the best oils all around.
Has anyone else similar symptoms when changed from other brand to V300?

YES a number of ppl in OZ including myself with Motul 300v 15w-50.
Left it for a week(engine hard to start,noisy ??)
Normally use Redline 10-40 .This time I have Castrol 10-60

A majority of the dealers either have BP or Castrol in their bulk tanks,, so may help influence.
