Question Mixed emotions ...

Posted on here back In Jul 2010 that my DSA RR results seemed low (398hp as attached) ... turns out that car wasn't holding boost as boost controller was wired up wrong!

It's now sorted (although still seems to drop away rather than flatline) so I've been back to DSA where car hit 447hp the RR graph is a bit mad though (attached) so I'd appreciate some thoughts on what it might be? I'll need to get the old girl back to an expert at some point to sort it out of course.

Cheers, TX.

[spec is MD321t, 740 injectors, Autronics ECU, cdb etc on a 97 UK scoob]

Is it forged? And have you done the head studs? Whart sort of boost does it make?

Would you mind listing the full spec?

If its getting enough fuel, is there a risk of a pipe leak comewhere causing it to fluctuate like that?

At 1.8bar, there is some pressure in there

If you have fitted the uppipe since it was last mapped it needs remapped now. What else have you done since it was last remapped 11 months ago?
You need an efficient front mount intercooler core and efficient inlet tract and remap from Bob Rawle and I think your torque graph will look completely different with a little bit more on the bhp.

Your torque curve indicates to me that there are improvements to be had from better breathing and so a better induction setup and core would probably show good gains based on our past experience.
It is a pity you are probably 200 miles from here but if you were prepared to travel I would be prepared to put my money where my mouth is and demonstrate by result.

Spool looks poor for a T on a 2.0 with one of Harveys pipes, was it run in third ? Peak power is very good at that boost though, you got a meth mix in there ? When you see 1 bar then full boost on the road ?

^^ Thanks for post fella.

Was run in 3rd (DSA run the 6 speeds in 4th & 5 speeds in 3rd). Just T99 in there. Was mapped with Harveys up-pipe on the car - interestingly the March set of graphs were pre Harveys up-pipe & the December one was with it, DSA noted that the spool up is slightly slower now! Not sure when 1 bar comes up on the road but I'll take her for a run & get back to you on it.

TX.

Edit - seeing 1 bar at 3500-4000rpm, dials are moving too quick to be more accurate!
