There is a wee connection that goes on your battery terminal so its connected in seconds then you can leave it on charge for as long as you like

do you just clip the CTEK chargers to the positive and negative terminals and power it via mains - is that safe?

yep you clip on a wee connection to your battery and then simply connect it to the ctek charger via the mains. When you finish you unclip it and there is a wee blank attached so you just tuck the lead down the side of the battery

Yes got one connected to my merc SL in the garage. It only comes out on sunny days, so it can be connected for weeks at a time.

Doesn't it make a mess, with all that wee everywhere?

Hiya James,

Had the same 'slow cranking' on my RB320, in last years cold snap.
Got a CTEK xs3600 - http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&sou...Kts3d7pszpSbrg
No more problems, just hook it up every few weeks, or if left for a few days.

I think CTEK chargers are the best option. As you can just leave it on for weeks and forget about it. Once it is fully charged it will just maintain the battery for you. I've got a CTEK XS3600 which does a great job, bought it from here:
