Default any ideas what bhp i will get :)

hi all, i know its not all that important, but i have just purchased a new engine that is being built for me, the car is a 98 sti, the changes are:
  • new sti open deck lump engine bored at .5mm and honed to a crosshatch finish (now a 2.2) not 2.0)
  • Mahle forged pistons at .5mm
  • full decat system, later spec intercooler,
  • running 1.2bar boast.
  • walhro pump,
  • stage 1 exeedy clutch
Just wondered if i could get an idea as to what sort or power it will have..

could be anything mate. all depends on heads/cams turbo charger, injectors and what other mods have been done.

anything from 300 to 340 with that boost level.

You engine is not a 2.2, it is very slightly over 2 litre in capacity using .5mm oversize pistons in a EJ20 open deck block.

You would need the EJ20 to be relinered with 97mm pistons or a EJ22 block to get a full 2.2. However if you have a EJ20 and user a 2.5 79mm crank with stroker rods and pistons you can get 2.1, which is sometimes called 2.2

Standard turbo will be a VF24 and 440cc injectors, so may see between 310-320bhp.
