Default JUST FITTED A LIGHTENED FLYWHEEL...

Hi

I just fitted a 6.06 Kg flywheel and a new clutch all went well...
on the way home in very cold weather as i was coming off boost i was getting loads of pop's and i was getting people flashing me from behind and noticed it was giving a few bright
flames out ?

Is this normal after a lightened flywheel fitted ?

my car is running fine as i have it checked last week( 341.5 bhp My00 uk turbo )

Thanks

The rev's climb abit faster as the rotational mass/weight on the crank is less so it may need a tweak on the map but you'll have to speak to one of the mappers on here to confirm that mate.

yes rev's seems a lot quicker and smooth and a little bit more noise with the transmission but been told its quite common when fitting a lightened flywheel

You do compromise a bit of transmission noise but the LWFW is a great upgrade, love mine

You can get more deceleration noise with LWFW's.

I certainly do with my Kaiten chromoly 4.7 kg one, LOL. I keep thinking my gearbox is fecked.
I cannot remember what it was like before as I have had mine on for 6 years now.
Although it is too light, I have to say it needs to be heavier for my 'normal' driving.
But certainly revs freely enough.
