the engine need to come out?

no mate,just remember to take the allen key headed bolt out of the gearbox and with draw the clutch fork pivet before you go to pull the box out.

just gearbox and prop straight forward really

not much help but depends on your tools/expertise etc,some take it out, some just loosen a mount some dont bit like when the cambelt is done,some remove the engine,some tilt it etc

if you have a ramp id guess no it doesnt,if you are doing it on the driveway,remove the lump

but the pros will be along soon :-)

as above some take it out, some take the box out, personally, i would take the engine out especially if you are working on your own, there is nothing worse then balancing a gearbox on your head when the blood has ran out of your arms, and yes i have done it both ways.
