Hello! EJ22 remapping in South East - expectations?
Hi all,
I've just bought a Porsche 914 that has had a scooby ej22 non turbo lump put. It goes really well but as always it's never quite enough - the guys who did the conversion suggested an ECU and remap. It's the later 2.2 so about 140bhp - what can I realistically expect from a remap power wise and who's recommended in the South East (Southend would be good!).
Also ideas on how much a remapping session might cost?
Cheers

You will not really get much more out of a non turno car with a remap. you will find prices differs from mapper to mapper but i would like to think they will tell you much the same as i have before they take your hard earned...

Mappers available to Essex are:
Mocom Racing (Zak) Based at North Wield www.mocomracing.com
Race Dynamix (Duncan) www.racedynamix.co.uk
Jolly Green Monster (Simon) www.jollygreenmonster.com
All are very experienced with Subaru engines and mapping and will offer good advice on what can be expected for a remap.

Thanks for the contacts - if I'm reading right an Apexi controller and remap is about £250 so not too bad.
I guess there may be more scope mapping wise as the exhaust is now very different from stock being only about a foot long with a Ducatti can so there's no restriction whatsoever!
Appreciate your thoughts

OK matey. Not often you see a 914.
Reminds me I need to speak to JGM about getting the ECU/MAP sorted on my cousins bay window camper van with the same engine in.
