Default whats the standard boost???

Hi all i have a standard my98 uk version 4 scoob, i have just got it on the road for the first time after 11 months of building, what am after knowing is whats the standard boost of my car, am almost sure that i read somewhere that its about 0.9bar iirc just i took it out the other night and to be honest my brothers saxo would probs beat it!! i was shocked at the performance but on checking the boost gauge its hitting about 0.5bar and thats it so am assuming thats whats causing the issue here, and if the boost is 0.9 bar can someone plz explain to me how i go about putting it back to standard as this is my first turbo car and am still learning as i go along so plz go easy on me

Ok your MY98 UK car (its not a version, just an MY98 uk turbo 2000) should run about .8-.9 bar, what is this building your going on about? did the car suddenly decide to drop to limp mode? is the check engine light up? have you checked to see if there are any fault codes present?? (check the tech archives to show you how, should be in there somewhere)

Tony

No fault codes mate, by build I mean new, suspension, wheels, engine, loom everything tbh just bought a car and stripped it to a shell and rebuilt it to how I wanted it to look and the old engine was about knackered so I fitted a newer( still same year my98 etc) just with lower miles

I think maybe you have wastegate and turbo nipple the wrong way round, had this on my car took pipes off and then put them the wrong way round and only hit .5 bar. Give that a go.
