Default help! advice on bottom end please!

hi, looking for advice/ ideas as to best thing to do after bottom end failure on v5 type r. rebuild? new engine? thanks

first things first, how much money do you have to spend. be honest here, we wont call you a cheap skate if you say about £1k

are you going to do the work yourself or do you need someone to do the spannering for you?

Speak to Alan Jeffery @ http://www.enginetuner.co.uk/ nice 2.1 stroker kit available. will give you good advice. where abouts are your from?

Rushden, northamptonshire. used to use zen performance 4 my old car but they only doing mapping and suspention work now.

nice one, have u used lateral performance? do they do service work aswell?

i am sure paul could recommend someone close by if the trip to devon is too far away. having said that it would be some drive home

you would need to check with mark, but yes i think Lateral do a drive in, drive out service. give him a ring, tell him what you want and he will sort you out with as good a deal as possible.

thanks very much for your help mate, sorry last question and sorry if silly one but with everythin else standard would the car produce more power with a stroker or is it more for strengh. cheers

the greater capacity 2.1 will produce more power but it is reliability i am thinking of here. forged components are much stonger that OEM components in the main. the stroker kit while underutilised with your current ancilliaries (turbo, injectors, cylinder heads etc) will form the basis of a much more powerful engine should you wish to upgrade later on.
