ok ive got a 2002 wrx turbo saloon bugeye scoob all standard apart from back box and panel filter and bailey dv

im going for a remap if i were to get one how much does it take standard scoobs to like mine above

or is it better for me to get an induction kit and full exhaust system 1st

and how much would that remap it to

thanks for any help

ive gone for a turbo back decat exhaust, upgraded panel filter, walbro fuel pump and ecutek remap and it went from a standard 215bhp upto 275bhp with the same torque

to see any noticable gains with a remap you will need to decat the exhaust or fit a sports cat at least

to be honnest ide ditch the bailey DV too... put a standard one back on. or if you do want one then ide chane to a better one such as Forge, hks turbosmart etc..

(i have a forge one forsale)

Hi bud, I have a Forge fitted to mine and would recommend it. Powerwrx's price looks pretty good too.

Stage one upgrade usually

Decat exhaust
Decent Panel filter
Upgraded fuel pump (Walbro 255lph)
Ecutek Remap

Leave the dump valve alone, if you must swap it, go for a good Recirculating (not VTA) one e.g. Forge.

Even remapping the totally standard car will probably take you to over 250bhp.

With a decat or sports cat you should see 270 + and a much livelier drive.

Remap cost is £350.

as above i would reccomend a full 3" de cat exhaust from turbo back, top brand panel filter,up rate your fuel pump to walbro 255lph i dont see what problem everyone has with dump valves as ive had one on both of mine with no problems whatsoever but would reccomend forge i have one on mine at the moment! then if you can afford upgrade your turbo then get a remap to make the most of the mods. it is pointless getting the remap before you have finished putting all the mods you want on it as everytime you add something else you will need to remap it again. hope this helps mate

From standard a backbox alone is quite a useful improvement in power, in the order of about 15hp.

Below are a series of dyno graphs from the same car showing a progression from completely standard as we replaced the backbox, the secondary cat, and then finally finished it with a remap. This still has the standard downpipe cat still in place, and when that is swapped I would expect to see another 10hp or so, and 3-400rpm earlier spoolup.
