Default up pipe sensor on a bugeye

I am replacing my up pipe for a decat one from a hawk eye and there is no sensor port on the new pipe. am i right in thinking this sensor is monitoring the cat in my existing pipe and i don't need this with the new pipe, so when i get the car remapped it will be removed from the system and remove the CEL?

Are you thinking about the Bugeye WRX EGT sensor which sits in front of the turbo ??

Being as there is no other sensor in the up pipe I would hope so..

Unless the plum is talking about the lambda sensor in the lower collector..
Best to check though I guess

Fuzz

The OP mentions something about being a cat sensor....... LOL

I'm not sure you can map-out a missing EGT sensor, might have to do the resistor trick

Well it is a cat sensor (cat on fire)
Point still stands that there is no other sensor in the up pipe on any model.

But yea resistor 2.2k -3.6k ohm would be perfect.

you can disable it with a certain open source software

on the bugeye it's an EGT sensor and not a cat on fire jobby......the cat on fire is on a classic and lights a warning light (of a cat on fire) and not a CEL
