Default NOT GETTING FUEL!

Hi people need to pick your brains, a friend of my mate has a scooby turbo and whilst driving a long today it cut out! started again but would not rev and now won't start! after investigating found that it isn't getting fuel, haven't seen the car myself so don't know what exactly it is doing!

What could be wrong? where is the pump situated? could it be a fuse??

Thanks in advance

Steve

The pump, lives in the fuel tank on the o/s i believe. You can access it via going under the boot carpet. But i'd check the fuel pump fuse first though!! your owners hand book should tell you where it is. It's getting cold now, so electrical components always tend to spit their dummies out when it gets brisk! Fuse £1.00, your time- free(if you let it be that is- haha). Pump £100.00??!!! <<<<guess! Plus lots more of your time!!

to gain access to the fuel pump remove the rear seat, this is where the access panel is.

as said, check fuse 1st but also,to double check, remove the fuel line going to the fuel filter and when you turn ignition on fuel should pour out this pipe (have a small container ready to catch fuel)

once these questions have been answered we can all help from there

If he has a sportswagon ,no need to remove rear seats, just lower seats on the drivers side, and remove the 4 screws holding the plate to gain access.
