I see your point but the reason I ask is reference it saying SUPER, this is a UK spec Car.

And from what I have read due to the qty of our fuel 95 Ron is fine , super unleaded is advised if running your car in a country on lower qty fuel. Japan is 100....

So what is the true answer..

Plus my other part was what fuel as in what Fuel Company - BP / Shell etc etc

But thanks for you answer anyway..

Hi, you are correct in thinking that a UK car can run on 95 ron. It will run better and smoother on super, 97 ron. The fuel of choice, if you can get it is Shell v-power 99 ron or Tesco 99. If you are unable to get either of these easily the next best fuel is Total super. The one to avoid at all costs is BP Ultimate, don't be tempted to use this stuff. It can cause knock and you don't want that.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that guys, I have a bloody BP garage on my door step and I cant not tell a lie i have added £20 once this week of the BP Ultimate, I WONT ANYMORE !!! I can get to shell and tescos so that will be more fuel of choice from now on...

Thanks you answered my questions

PS, I read a little about KNOCK, could you explain it a little in layman's terms LOL (SIMPLE)

For your car it wont make any difference what super unleaded you use, they should all benefit you in some small way it only makes a difference on the imported JDM cars where their fuel rating is higher than ours, so 95 ron is quite useable in your car, 97+ will improve performance and smoothness

Knock or pre detonation is when the fuel explodes before the piston fully compresses (sometimes called dieselling) and it can (and does) cause damage to pistons and can cause big end failure, not much to worry about on an unmodded uk car though

if the car is mapped to run on 95 then using using 97 or 99 ron wont improve running unless it is knocking on the 95.

(97 or 99 will just provide better knock protection)
