Default v7 sti uk vs jdm

are differents between a v7 jdm sti and a uk sti model engine ?

what is the standard amount of hp on a uk model 265hp?

when you put a jdm wiring loom and ecu on a uk sti model engine is it going to put out 280hp

or is the 280hp because in japan there driving on 100oct and in uk on lower oct. fuel?

answers
1. jdm has twin scroll turbo so boosts quicker the engine is stronger
2. uk hp265 factory est.s all cars vary jdm around 300hp if i am right
3. the jdm ecu and wiring loom will have the jdm map on it power who knows and for your jdm ecu to work on the uk engine would require a uk map for the fuel here.
4. yes in japan the ron is higher hence more power

i hope this answers your questions if i have read your post correctly

No difference on these engines, single scroll cars (also they dont do versions in new age cars ) uk runs a different turbo to the jap model, apart from that the rest of the engine is pretty much the same.

Jap ecu is more agressive, mapped for that higher octane fuel (they push out about 280-290bhp on average but power is quoted at 276bhp), wiring loom should be the same, no real differences until the JDM twin scroll units came in on the MY03 STI cars
UK car has 262bhp (265ps)

oke i'm from holland and here i can get 100 oct fuel from the pump

so that will not be the problem

so if i'm right when i put a jdm sti ecu on my engine i will get also around 280hp

the only differents is that a jdm a VF30/VF34 tubro and a uk sti or europeen a VF35?

Pretty much, but your best having your ecu remapped, it will give you better power and run safer

Have a read here
https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...ru-engine.html

You'll see that the V7 JDM STi is a closed deck forged engine. The UK /Euro models were not.
Power according at Autocar in 2002 was 305bhp.

i read on the web that a jdm sti v7 is also a closed deck engine just like the uk/europeen models.

but 450hp is engough i think

so when i want around 350 that will be easy to do with the standard

internals

Its not closed deck, its semi closed deck and exactly the same engine as the uk/eu ones.
