Hi mate,
I have simtek and i had a couple of teething problems, when my fans cut in the ecu would richen the idle map and flood the engine, it would be difficult to start for a few minutes, was it running clean before you turned it off?

yes, both my fans kick in, I have a front mount so have monted the air temp sensor in the ally pipe as close to the throttle body as possible, almost true charge temp,

No pics I'm afraid and car is the bodyshop at the min, you will have to get a boss welded into the pipe so you can screw the sensor in, just as the pipe bends round and connects to the throttle boddy you should have room for it there,

Did you speak to Simon aka Jolly Green regards to this? And have you made any changes to the existing setup that has brought this on?
Or could it just be the crank sensor to blame as it may be at the end of its life causing no spark when the OP turned it over???
As i wouldn't think it was the charge temp sensor which is the issue here the OP's car was running ok, so it has to be something that has become defective??

thinking out loud.. if the non hot start is consistent then if you pop the car down I can confirm cam and crank and as the ecu will show sync errors and also should whether cam or crank sensor at fault.
Alternatively I have a spare cam and crank sensors here.. welcome to pop down and borrow them.
