HELP REALLY PISSED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any 1 please help im well pissed off!
Started the other day when the heaters were cold. I changed the thermostat and there wasnt 1 in there so i put 1 in. 2 days later there was water pissing out and looked like it was coming from the top of the engine, sooooo the next day i took the inlet manifold off and checked the pipes, under there and couldnt find anything apart from a metal pipe with a hole in it so i replaced that fitted everything back together filled it up with coolant and its still leaking. Please help before the scoob finds its self playing tig with a sledge hammer.
I own a my97 sti type r 555.

Left side?
You checked the header tank? Possibly the seal around the top of it.. water runs down it, down the pipe and goes onto the head/block area.
Otherwise remove hose from headed (underneath) and check the metal pipes haven't corroded, sometimes they sort of go funny and will let water past.

Aint sure which pipes u mean?
If u are lying under the car and looking up at the engine it seems to be coming from the left side of the engine but carnt see where from as there no room to see!

dodgy typing on my phone, meant header not headed..
Was talking about the hose from the underside of the header tank which goes to a metal pipe between the 2 branches of the inlet. The pipes corrode (where the hose clamps over them) and can let water past. The header tank has a rubber seal around the top.

lol no problams lol yea that pipe was corroded so i changed it and put everything back together and no look.
Its not overflowing any where cuz ive drained all the coolant out about 3 times now lol and when i start to fill it up i squeeze the top and bottom rad hoses to help wit the air then start the car up while i keep filling up and the water just pisses out on the floor.

If you are under the car looking up and the leak is on the left you are looking at the thermostat housing and the water pump area so there gaskets on these and water pipes , you changed the stat did you fit a new gasket have you checked the hoses and metal pipes in this area , has it over heated as water pump has a presure releif valve that lifts if overheated this can't be reset and new pump required as a result water comes out of a small releif hole in water pump case , water pump also has a gasket to get at water pump it is cam belt off i am affraid so new cam belt if you do this .
