ot sure what you mean. First you say there are no cats then ask if there is one in the downpipe.

Basically unless you've taken them out you have cats up and down and by the sound of it have removed the centre one is that right?

The sports cat should go straight in for your old cat. Might want to remove the up pipe one though if you want more power as it restricts quite a bit i think... well at least on the wrx. Can't be certain about a sti.

5t.

Cool you are going down the same route as I want to
I don't need the uprated fuel pump though as the 2.5 litre is man enough I also want to use JGM but still saving
I think you will achieve between 300 bhp.-350 bhp. let me know how you get on.

Was the Prodrive down pipe second hand?
I am still looking for one for mine they seen to be a little harder to get for the 2.5 litre and I don't want to spend more than £250 for it! I have found a couple but they are both 3".

definitely! you are doing the same as prodrive do but better and for not as much money £1700.
you are also getting a map that is perfect for YOUR car rather than a generic prodive one

My 2004 STI made 325bhp and 287lb torque on a Dastek Rolling road.

Mods:
  • Uprated fuel pump
  • Prodrive cat (downpipe)
  • Angled 4.5" back box
  • Remapped ecu

I am fitting a TD05 18G at the moment so have a few of the old parts for sale including the remapped ecu & sports cat!

' jason and his scooby do ' let me know how you get on with your remap via private messgae please. i also have a 04sti uk. i was going to get the prodrive system like you have but finaly got an 3"milltek system purley because in the future i might want more power than 340 bhp and have been told the prodrive exausght can only handle 350bhp lol. i also have a 3 port boost solinoid and walbro 255 fuel pump and k&n panel filter.

As far as I know Prodrive didn't make a downpipe for the 2.5
The PPP for 06+ cars consists only of a 2nd decat pipe, backbox, an ECU remap and a silicone intercooler hose.
Let us know where to get a sports cat for the 2.5 as I am also looking for one (see post in Technical section regarding Milltek DP)
Cheers

Hi
Just joined the site looking for advice, I've got a 2000 turbo UK i have just put a front mounted inter cooler and have been told that i now need to get it re mapped. It also has an exhaust system, K&N air filter and the dump valve. I'm in Cambridge is there anywhere near if I need to get it done?
Any advice welcome
James
