Lol, I drive a 93 wrx import, the connectors are there, but you might have to look for them, they could still be taped up to the loom, but they're not as big as you might be thinking they are, they're two little guys

once you do have them connected though(assuming you found them XD) just flip the ignition till the battery is on(Not all the way to starting but just before that) and your check engine light should flash the code to you

There is another single pin black connector up there in the wiring somewhere

Get upside down in the footwell with a torch, and i'm sure you'll find it

Hey mate, before accepting the ECU telling you the Lambda's knackered, first do this simple test to be sure...

Use a pin, or unravelled paper clip, and push it up the back of the connector to the lambda sensor to measure the voltage on the white wire (assuming you have red/black/white as per standard). Then touch the pin or clip with the +ve red probe of a volt-/multi-meter, whilst the -ve black probe is in contact with a good engine ground (inlet manifold is ideal).

If the Lambda is fine, then the display on the meter should continually cycle up and down between 0.1V and 0.9V...

This small effort may save you from unnecessarily paying over £200 for a (OEM recommended) Lambda sensor.

You don't disconnect the sensor... Take a look at this thread...
https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...da-sensor.html

You can just make out the white sensor wire - to the right of the red one - in the bottom pic in post # 24. Where this wire goes into the connector is where you need to jam the pin or clip into. Start the engine, then follow the instructions as mentioned above...
