Default Engine belt

Just noticed the front belt (connected to the alternator )has split in half, im guessing its not a good idea to drive it is it.. ? just to get it to the garage asap.

Is it the cam belt???

Well the good news is No its not the cambelt. It is as you say the alternator belt and very easy to change if you have a couple of spanners?

Wouldnt reccommend driving as it is, If it breaks the alternator isnt going to charge the battery and as rare as it is. It is possible for the belt to break other componets in the engine bay when it does break.
