Question Dipstick

Just wonderring approx how much oil (litres or fractions thereof) are needed to bring the oil level (as measured by the dipstick) from the cold min, to the cold max ?

Approx is fine.

But if someone knows exactly, it's a MY98 WRX.

Thx.

This is from a MY97UK manual but think the dipsticks are all the same.

Yes, I always put in exactly 4.5 Litres, and then top up from there.
But I've never measured how much more than 4.5 L that I put in.

Maybe I should do that next time.

So that funny character, was actually an "L" , albeit a bit of a curly one.

Yep, they seem to like their L's curly over there.

It's a lot clearer in the downloaded manuals. Have you downloaded the one relevent to you yet?
