Default dump valve

hi , i have a 2006 STI with PPP will a dump valve do anything other than make a noise and are they a good up grade to do as in terms of reliability,wich model would i be best buying,many thanks ,steve.

Your car has one fitted as standard (recirculating none noise making type)

Don't do it chap.
All they do is make a silly noise.
No performance increase.
Can cause idling issues.
Can cause overfuelling.
Which can cause bore wash etc. which will eventually cost you lots of money.
Oh and they make a really silly noise.

This topic has been done to death on numerous posts before it.

To sum up there is no point in adding one unless you have a big power build - so no on a PPP STI.

For more information I suggest u do a search on the forums - there are PLENTY of posts.
