Default Problem i can't work out

When i am giving the car some for any lenghth of time, like more than a short blast the car starts to cut then go. Hard to explain really. Its not at any particular revs and only when giving it some. Its like kangerooing.
Some of the things i have thought possible are:

Intercooler can't cope.
fuel cut.
Fuel in the tank is swilling away from fuel pump and not enough fuel is getting through.

Any help please.

Also it seems to only happpen in second.

Sounds like your overboosting which causes fuel cut.

Should it be overboosting though with an apexi avcr? Thought this kept it in control.

we had a problem like that after going to the garage repeatedly as it only happend with the engine under big load it turned out to be a couple of cracked coil packs failing under load

hi pal, I had this problem when i first got the car, firstly i cleaned the boost solenoid (sp) with circuit cleaner, that made a bit of difference then changed fuel pumps, It had a walbro pump all ready but it was on its last legs, put the new one it and it never happened again!

it was happening on mine too, i put new spark plugs and ht leads on thinking this was the problem and it was the MAF sensor, if you read up it is a common fault on 99-00 cars

I thought maf would affect idle and normal running? This only happens when i hit high boost. When it happens it shows an overboost figure on my boost controller.

What is your high boost? Why dont you wind down your boost to 1.10 or 1.00 bar and see if problem goes away.
BOV leaking or not able to take the high boost?
Change fuel filter, could be partially blocked...
Hope this helps.

Chan.

The boost was setup on the avcr by zen so i would have thought it would be correct. Its at 1.45 bar @ 4500rpm.

Try wind it down to 1.20 bar or even lower and see if problem still persist.I think 1.45 bar is on the high side,ie standard ECU will do fuel cut to prevent engine from blowing up.
