Difference between uk and import engine spec?
Hi folks
Can someone tell me what the difference is between the engine spec of a 95 wrx import and a uk car of the same year?
Are the turbo's the same spec etc??
Cheers Jules...

I have one of each and although the UK car is a better more original car the import is more lively. I'm trying to decide whether to tune the uk model or tidy-up the import hence the questions above.
The other major gripe with the UK car is the nasty tweed trim which will have to be swopped with recaro style should i keep it.

Whilst i have your attention fella's
The import has a boost gauge fitted and peaks at around 0.8 bar. Is this a standard level of boost for that car?

Thanks for the info.
So am i right in saying that the only reason for the power difference between the 2 models are the map/boost level then?
I have no idea what boost level the uk car is as there is no gauge fitted but it will be standard as is the rest of the car.

AFAIK the difference between (non STi) classic imports and UK cars is in the ancillaries, not the engine build itself. To put it another way, any UK Turbo is just as capable of making good power with the right supporting mods, as an import WRX.
So basically, get the fuelling, the turbo and the mapping all correct and you will get the same results whichever is your base car.
