Rear fog light

Rear fog light
Right this is driving me nuts now.
Obviously being a type-r it wont have 1 as standard.
The after market 1 has been removed and fitted into one of the rear rev lights.
I have removed the tacky switch and fitted a standard rear fog switch, i used 1 wire from the standard part of the loom that had the conector on it and 1 wire which has been fitted in at some point (These were the 2 wires that were used on the tacky switch when fitted)
These 2 wires turn the light on when pressed together.
There are 4 wires left which dont do anything, i want to wire them to the switch so the light on the switch will illuminate when pressed on.
Will i need to fit a fuse or a relay to get them working??
I am stumped now, i have tryed the wires in lots of diffrent sequences, there dosent seem to be any feed coming from them, i have tested them with a circit tester.
