Default Engine Keeps Revving For A Second After I Lift Off

This is a bit annoying. 2000 Classic UK Turbo saloon.

When I change gear, and lift off the gas, it revs-on for half a second.

I have checked the cable and TB movement, which all seems to be free, and snapped back when I lift off (doing it manually from engine bay), but it still revs on.

Is this a TPS or afm problem?

This happens at any RPM, so I don't think it's a turbo or boost related problem.

Thanks,

Dave.

Ok........, so looks like I'm gonna have to figure this one out myself, lol.

I'll investigate tomorrow.

Dave check your idle control valve will be next to the throttle body on your car

double check cable you cant really test it just by using the throttle body lever as the cable just stays were it is it dont actually move in and out just comes away from the groove on the lever you need some1 to do it from in the car and watch for correct movement imo.
