Default 300bhp

Hi, I have recently bought a 98 Turbo 2000. It has a Blitz full stainless system and a Blitz boost controller. The previous owner reckoned it was running around 257bhp. I think these are the only mods on it. I don't think I can chip or re map the ecu on these 98 models can I? Does anyone know how i could get around 300bhp? It hasn't got an induction kit yet either, would this help? I've heard the Pipercross Viper is a good one?

Cheers

Find out what turbo your car has first. A 98 car could be MY99 in which case you will have a TD04 and you can forget 300 on that turbo. If you have an MY98, you will have a TD05 which will flow well over 300

Actually it was the pre 96 cars that had the TD05.
Dont bother with an induction kit you will actually loose power, instead just buy a good high flow panel filter i.e a green panel filter.
Other things you'll need are:
Decat downpipe
Walbro fuel pump
Either a TD05 turbo, or a VF28 (from a P1 or an STi5/6) or a VF35/34 (from the later STi's)
Then you'll need to get a new ECU, The Apexi Power FC is a good piece of kit, as is Gems ( quite expensive though )
Obviously the ECU will then need to be mapped to make the nost of the modifications.

turbo change, fuel pump, since you cant remap your ecu its a new ECU, K&N induction or similar, header and up pipe and possibly a new intercooler ?? change those and you will see at least 300bhp ??

If you want 300bhp I would go for the td04 hybrid from andy forrest.

For 300bhp its the best choice in my books as you get great spool up

cheers fella , no mate, blew them at 260bhp 280ftlb lol, admitled was driving the Isle of man TT course at the time lol.

in theory though the box and clutch will take 300bhp so should be ok, i upgrade to a straight cut PPG due to heading for magic 450bhp in the hopefully not to distant future lol
