Default Changing maf location - anyone done the mod

I'm possibly heading down the route of MAF relocation and remap so I can sort my sooty running due to wild cams and oe ecu...

Anyone done it? How did it go and what was the costs involved?
Got pics?

Cheers, link has given me a few ideas and a few hurdles at the same time - speaking with Bob R about it.

Anyone actually running this setup on a new age..?

Reading loads of forums from the states, would the blow through setup just sort out idle or will it improve my whole running upto 2500 revs? She runs sooty upto 2,500 then cleans up and goes like stink - even when in neutral, you can easily tell the point when the cams allow the ecu to run the right mix....

Am I just going to get a reasonable improvement with blow through and not a complete "fix" with a MAP based tune? I'll be very very very happy if the blow through setup will improve some of the running upto 2500, even if its just 2000 and above, plus idle.

Its all to do with std new age ecu, maf in default location and wild cams but its possible the blow thru will sort it all - cant tell for sure until mapping. My mapper is excellent and has done a few before but I just wonder if anyone else has gone down the same route and ended up laughing or not.
I still wonder if she needs vernier timing still to alter the openings of the cams as they're on standard pulley sets.

adjustable pulleys may give a slight improvement but I imagine it wouldnt be a huge improvement. I am sure Bob would have mentioned it if it was as he is one of the best.

Agree there ref Bob. At this stage we're at the "it might work" position and I'm just trying to learn all I can about it, plus see if anyone else has done exactly the same process...

Cheers
