Default What next for my scoob...(my05)

I have a my05wrx currently running 285/270. See my scooby for full details. But as usual I would like a little more. From a bit of basic research I think a new intercooler would help. Want to keep it top mount.....any suggestions for a cost effective one?????

Also what are peoples feelings about induction kits???? Dont want maf problems but the extra bhp would be great??? Do I need another map to get the most out of the induction kit???

Cheers

forget the induction kit.. you just need another turbo.. the standard one is now maxxed.. TD05 16g, VF35 etc would be ideal.

Yes you would gain with sti intercooler along with turbo but not essential.

Basically anything that improves engine output will effect fuelling and ignition timing requirements so will need a remap. The induction kit reduces the load the ecu sees so instantly increases the ignition timing and leans the fuelling, so it is not a good move to just fit wihtout mapping.. but the standard air box is fine with a decent pannel filter to mid 300s if not more.

Thanks Simon.

So its the turbo is limiting any further power gains!!!

Do you know how much one of the turbos you mentioned would cost? I want to maintain drivability so does the turbo spool up at a similar rpm to the standard one? and will the internals/clutch/gearbox be up to that sort of power?

Sorry for all the questions but you got me thinking?????????

if you want similar spool then need to consider a td04 hybrid.

vf depending on which one is around 300~600..

td05 16g similar.
