Default Stench of Fuel after a Blast.

Hi everyone.

Got a prob. Car is leaking fuel from somewhere under the bonnet. It is most noticable after full throttle. The smell seems to be strongest at the rear drivers side of the engine bay (exhaust area). Any clues?

Dan.

A mate had a similar problem found out that it was the injector seals were slightly leaking.

Mmm. Thats confirmed what i was thinking. Are they easy to change and how much are the seals likely to be?

After having a quick look seems you can buy them from Subaru dealers, someone mentioned Roger Clark motosport (although it seems to take them a few days).
Have no idea on how easy they are to change though sorry.

Just had a quick look on here and by the looks of it it's just a matter of removing the injectors, replacing the o-rings (carefully) then refitting the injectors.

u can do it either way, but its alot easier to unbolt the fuel rails as if u try pulling them out whilst the rail is in they break easily, with the rail out u can just push them out with no hassle, if i was u id also check the rubber seal that goes around the fuel pump cover, as mine was leaking and was letting fumes in to the car cost about £12 from subaru dealer.....
