Default oily smell in cabin

oily smell in cabin when giving a bit a hardish driving.. He had a look and its likes its comming from around under the turbo. and sort around that area..... my mate had a look and saw it there....Not dripping on the floor at all and its burning it all off around exhaust and the turbo. Which it makes a smell....

He wants to get my car on the ramps in the week and have a proper look around the turbo (underside)..

Anyone shed any light on the matter

cheers all

Dave

Depends on..
If you can put up with the smell
If the leak is enough to lower the oil level quickly
If the leak is enough to cause a fire

Default oil smell

just had turbo replaced under warranty , oil was coming out between the two halves of the turbo and drippinng onto cat, check around the clamp that hold the two parts of the turbo together, it should look slightly damp, if so you have found your problem, olso check oil drain pipe at base of turbo to either cylinder head or block i cant remember which. hope this helps
