Default MY93 wrx using excess petrol

On start up smells of petrol a lot from exhaust, it uses more petrol than my type RA, the my93 is standardish running about 240 bhp, and the RA is running 300bhp+ so seems fishy to me!, slight blue smoke on start up, but none when running/hot, but exhaust gases still smell too much of petrol, any ides please people? thanks

Lambda, coolant temp sensor or MAF all contribute to fuleling, if any1 should fail this can cause over fuel. Personally id go for coolant temp sensor 1st, this is the most common fault for overfuelling in my experience.

Due to the age of the car, it could also be the pressure regulator. When I had a power fc fitted and mapped to mine (also a my93) the mapper commented on how rich it was running, however due to your car occasionally throwing a cel, I would do a search on the code to see what it is
