You need to spend about £1-1.5K to get decent and reliable power -

Sports cat down pipe (or decat if you have a friendly MOT man)
decat mid-pipe
sports backbox
Ecutek remap after all above.

should give you about 280bhp

WHAT I WOULD DO IS SELL MY CAPSLOCK, AND PUT THAT TOWARDS SOME MORE BITS

Eg. Like Gary said, uprated fuel pump, decat downpipe/mid pipe, nice backbox, and a new panel filter (not an induction kit) - just the panel filter such as a K&N or something else high flow.

Looking around that sort of figure 270-290

Don't want to crap on this thread, but I just love it when somone posts 'I want more power but it has to be cheap'.

Power and reliability come at a price I'm afriad.

Pay cheap, pay twice.

No cheap way of doing it I am afraid. Just do your homework wisely. Ask a lot of questions both on here and on the phone (unlike me) and you cannot go wrong.
If you impulse buy (thats me!) then you will pay more and more for nothing.
As an example, by the time I had my suspension nearly how I wanted it, I had had my geometry done 3 times. Well when you are paying nearly 100 notes just for one, then you can see what I mean!
Try to take your time and all will be well.
But you do get what you pay for, you really do.

For the posters stating "Power and reliability come at a price I'm afriad.''
and "No cheap way of doing it I am afraid''

Sorry but i dont agree!

To the poster you can easily buy a full exhaust system and sports cat d/pipe ( or decat d/pipe )for under 300.00 notes, second hand off here or fleabay. An uprated pump and filter could be had for less than 50.00 and a remap can be done between 550.00 and 650.00.

If cash is an issue bide your time and look for bargains, theres nothing wrong with 2nd hand stainless zorsts and pumps.
If cash isnt an issue buy all parts new and waste your cash.

Unfortunately very true, pairing the both (& include driveability) can be a delicate balance to execute.

I'd hang on, save amap and use the tuner you want rather than the tuner you can afford. Imagine the feeling if had it done, did'nt like it & had spent all ya dough...
