Low speed on/off throttle response with FMIC
Does any tech guys know a possible way of making the on/off light throttle movement a bit more gentle when you've got a FMIC. Running 2.5L 470 bhp, sti new age...ends up being a little embarrasing at times when she hops down t' road as cant pull away smoothly...price I pay I guess for big power?
PS Mod would have to be something that didn't take power away or delay spool...for obvious reasons.

run a low boost setting whilst driving slow, assuming you have some sort of electronic boost controller, thats what i do, low boost when the kids are in the car, then you hardly notice the boost coming in and the car drives like a N/A, high boost for playtime!

Cheers guys...
Running oe ecu with ecutek via Bob R...
I'm about to sort a EBC so will do that....I should be able to have a few boost "maps", say low, mid and mental...Apexi I'll be getting.
It's not the clutch as I'm using AP Racing organic job that does allow decent slip (although she's been giving off burning smells from the odd standing start - wont be doing that to often )

Erm, good question that....It tends mostly to be when a low speed and almost no throttle...just at point you want to put a little more throttle on but not floor it (not often from choice must admit! ).
Most times pulling away from lights using bit of clutch slip are fine, ie using clutch slip not a problem, unless using little throttle and slip, then she might skip a little. Must be throttle sensitivity...

Them pesky cams again Bob...oh well, might change them one day but for now I'll put up with the draw backs against the monster spool from 2500.

If it's the same phenomenon, it's jerky on/off throttle if you tap the pedal lightly, as if you're being shunted back and forth. Slipping the clutch between gearchanges is the only solution I found.

Exactly the same slient, if I did a tap of the throttle, I'd be jumping down t'road at low revs...
Can see why its my cams as cause though as they run with massive overlap until about 2500 revs, means all sorts of crap mixture and lumpy stuff till she runs clean.
Cheers for "advice" of not replacing those parts though as would be waste of time
