CONVERTING FROM td04 TO td05FE on a MY99

Default CONVERTING FROM td04 TO td05FE on a MY99

What pipes do i need from the TD05 turbo.

The one i have has the 2 water pipes but is missing the top oil feed pipe will the TD04 one fit my TD05?

yes it will i belive mate, it should be a straight swap nice and easy, just use new copper washers though

Pretty sure You need a new pipe. I don't remember exactly as mine was years ago but I still have a spare original pipe rattling arround with my old td04 somewhere, so must've been changed at the time.

definately new pipes , no pipes from a td04 fit the td05

Steve - I have used the TD04 Oil Feed pipe on several 04 to 05 conversions and never had an issue with it.

You are right if you are talking about the water pipes as the 05 ones are larger banjo fittings.

So i am ok using the TD04 Oil pipes then.

i was talking about the oil pipes being able to be re-used, Heple has the 05 water pipes already

Thats correct i do have the 05 water pipes.

Just concerned about the oil feed pipe on the top.

Fitted a td05fe to my wrx wagon today,originallly td04 fitted,used the tdo4 top oil metal pipe,just easier than removing the lower banjo union to swap pipes over

easy then, like i said, just make sure you use new copper washers
