Default revs drop on slow down

hiya..my98..in billy base form cept zorst..

askin the questiosn because after much searching everyone seems to say different to everyone else...

when slowing to junction...the revs can drop low-ish...400ish then raise back to about 600rpm..

do you ever get maf probs on these..thought it was mainly 99-00 my
would it more likely be the idle valve wanting a clean and lube?

answers from nice knowledgable types greatly recieved

p.s had eng rebuild few thou ago...crank knocking

regards chris

Take another look at your tacho. The first thick white line above '0' is 500rpm then 4 more thin lines up to '1'

Idle should be 750 rpm iirc, i.e. mid way between 500 & '1'

did you guys put an aftermarket blow valve.
i will cause this problem too.
connect back to the plumb back think will solve your problem.
or try to screw in more to prevent leakage from the blow valve (after market type)

no im very standard, it used to be modded up a bit...now normal after its prev death...lol

just drops a bit lowish if u been moving quickish and pull up and stop..and as though the idle air catches it and it picks up...
maybe i'm just worrying after reading lots of air sensor threads...

I had this problem for age's till I found it....... a loose juilee clip on my airbox!
Just start by checking all hose clips, atleast you can then rule these out.
