guide to removing injectors on a newage?
Hi all can anyone give me a few pointers as to the easiest way of getting the injectors out?
Any help appreciated!

Just finished this literally 10 mins ago (and adjustable fpr)!
Not too difficult. On a classic you need to remove the induction pipe and unbolt the header tank on the o/s; and the washer bottle on the n/s. I removed the fuel cap and top hose of the fuel rail above the n/s injectors. Not sure that this made any difference but the injectors came out more easily once I'd done it. Then it's just a case of removing the electrical connectors, and the caps from the injectors. Pull them out - you might need to clamp some mole grips on to them, and if you rotate them it will help to loosen them. Check you haven't left any o-rings or dirt in the chamber before you fit the new injectors.
That's pretty much it I think, good luck

Neil, your newage injectors are top feed so the rails have to be pulled off far enough first. This in turn requires some very annoying guards to be removed, the drivers side being very **** as one bolt is hidden behind the rocker vent.
If you are going to port the inlet then take the whole inlet assembly off in one go and remove the injectors when on the bench.
Then again, if you are also going to port the heads as well then you may as well wrap up all the work for one hit when the engine comes out to repair the bottom end.
As a single job it is very fiddly but not impossible. Much easier on the classic side feeds.

If I am not mistaken he has an '03 and in the UK thats the facelifted one, correct? If so, you should not have the lovely GBOD! GBOD??? Green Brackets Of Death. Why Subaru installed them on the bugeye scoobys baffle us all. Without those in the way, I can replace injectors on a newage in an hour or so.

Saved me some time you have!!!
Hi Neil, your money is on its way for the injectors and cover, oh, and be carefull with those mole grips!!! I was going to ask the same question you have asked for me as I have to do the same job and it sounds as though I have drawn the short straw with my01 bugeye!( green brackets of death? what's that all about then? trying to scare me or something? hang on a second, let me adjust my new incontinent pants!!! )

No problem hans, ill be careful i dont have any mole grips to speak of anyway so i cant damage them that way!!!!
