245@wheels...disappointed...
hi guys,
Got my car back from the rollers,an STi 3 with a full exhaust, decat, Blitz Sus induction kit, Power FC (mapped at same time) and walbro pump.
The power was developed at 1.1 bar and even at this boost the injectors are hitting 99% duration, so these are to be changed before any more boost can be run.
My question is does this sound like a reasonable output at the wheels and what size injectors should I go for (440 as standard???)
Thanks in advance.

I think thats got to be around 330 bhp at the crank, so if the injectors need re-placing your looking at more again. I would say thats a good figure for an sti3 with the mods you have on our uk fuel , But I am no expert and could wrong! Does it feel fast on the road? and whats your torque figures?

Feels ok on the road, although I drive stuff much faster than mine everyday so its hard for me to gauge really.
I see that JP got 328 from their RA. I am assuming that this figure was at the flywheel?

It would be unless they specify different. But what were the injectors running on that car? If you have more boost to run with better injectors you will be around that mark I would I would imagine. With the mods you have I think that is a good figure, you have to remember that the jap cars running @ 276bhp in japan never run that in the UK due to our petrol.

Perhaps yours is mapped a bit rich? Or maybe they have sacrificed boost for ignition advance?
Also (and it isn't the way I'd do it), you could fit a fuel pressure reg and up the pressure a bit, that way, you could get more flow from the same injectors/

stivers3 is not really getting anymore than me then if that figure is flywheel? Yet he is running 18psi?!!
What I find most strange is my injectors maxing out when no one elses seem to be?!!! Any techies any reasons why?

nothing wrong with upping fuel pressure.
everyone who has an FSE or SX or Aeromotive etc has done it.
are you honestly disappointed or just looking for reassurance?
basically from your post it looks like youve done the exhaust and filter, not going to get massive gains on that even with a PowerFC

vf23 dawse device to control boost
peaks at just under 1.45ish (this is where my fuel cut is!!??!! 1.45bar)
holds whatever it can to the redline
i did fit a sti8 fuel pump a while back (cheepy £20 ebay special )
895mv on the lambda while on full boost so its fueling fine

Not looking for reassurance was just expecting more, although this is beacuse the Blitz SBC I D was supposed to come oput running 1.3 Bar, but couldnt because of this whole injector thing, which I still cant figure out.......

vf22 at 1.1bar will flow more then a vf23@1.1bar?
i rember running my car night on standerd with a filter, cat back exhaust and a few samcos
with a dawse device holding the boost at a smidgen over 1bar on a vf22 (standerd turbo for the 97wrx)
it pushed out 281bhp and 260lbft @ well lane
which is a decent enough benchmark type of thing
vf23 is smaller, but its ovbiously been wound up a hell of a lot more to compensate in my case

bloody hell what is the average percentage loss through the transmission
some people saying that the 245bhp atw is eqv to 330bhp fly that 85bhp !!!!! lol surely its not that much, i'd expect higher losses due to the 4wd but not that much. 60bhp really

has anyone used a thor dyno, the type that bolts directly to the hubs, like abbey motorsport use, no slip factor like u get on the rollers,
also they are supposed to be very accurate. I always take rolling road figures with a pinch of salt and no set of rollers is truly accurate
