Default Nitrous, what do i need...!!!

Hi,

At the risk of sounding rather 'chav' here i am thinking about getting a NOS setup on my93 Import WRX...

I was just wondering if anyone has installed this on a similar car and what sort of setup they are running...

I already have a few mods, de-cat/filter/chip etc but am now looking for something diffrent...!!!

Is it just a case of getting the Kit installed, or is it wise to install a fifth/larger injector/s to stop the mixture from leaning out when using the NOS...

Please help, i have done a search on here and it seems that this has'nt been asked before...

Cheers,

John.

Cheers,

You dont need extra injectors as you will need a 'wet' sys which will have one nozzle for nitrous and another for fuel. Sprays into your throttle body.

You may need to retard the ignition on your map though (depending on how advanced it is).

Not too widely used on scoobs, but would have the same effect as any other turbo car.

If your going for big bhp then you will need a progressive controller rather than a one hit sys.

Even with a wet system you will need some method of retarding the timing. As you have an import mapped for 100ron, you are already living on the edge.
The other option would be to run high octane race fuel.

Thanks for the help lguys...

Andy,

The car is re-mapped for 97ron fuel (scoobyecu) so i'm not too bad in that sitiuation...

Although how would i retard the ignition without a RR re-map...!!!

Greeno,

Where did you get your import re-mapped for 97ron fuel and how much did it cost you please? I've just got an import (94 WRX) and need the same doing so I can run on normal unleaded. Cheers.

You would really need a remappable ECU which you could set to suit the N2O, an airflow adjuster such as an S-AFC may be able to do it but it is not so precise as ignition timing is only indirectly retarded.

Andy

Where would you mount a single fogger nozzle on a scoob?

Lets say its for an antilag system running only a 15 shot.

Cheers,

Wayne.
